Powering Through My Day The #HealthWarriorWay

For a good long time, I was never one to jump on the whole "health bar" craze. I thought protein bars were a waste of calories, and that anything I can eat within 2 minutes surely wouldn't satisfy my hunger or cravings. It wasn't until I had a conversation with a friend-of-a-friend at a party, who just so happened to be a nutritionist, did I realize that my macronutrients were all over the place.

I was sitting there with a plate of food that included a slice of cake, 3 baby carrots, a spoonful of hummus, and a handful of tortilla chips. "Balanced meal, ammirite?" I joked. She politely laughed back at me before following up with "Yea, but not the right kind of balance." Over the course of the night we delved deeper into her career as a nutritionist and the easy mistakes she saw her new clients make on a daily basis, and what we as a society thought to be “correct” eating habits.

It was then that I learned the little "health bars" that I refused for so long were actually very beneficial to incorporate into my diet. She recommended Health Warrior, and I immediately added them to my shopping list.
