Food and the City: RICHMOND, VA: En Su Boca Yum

October 12, 2016

*todays post is brought to you by Lindsay Brown, a Food and the City reader from Richmond, VA!

If you find yourself in Richmond, VA, whether it be for business or for pleasure, do yourself a favor and go to En Su Boca! Skip the Flying Squirrel's baseball game down the street, and head to this cute little Mexican joint boasting loud colorful paint and funky charm. While indoor seating is available, make sure to sit outside where there are twinkling lights and enormous greenery that make you feel like you're on vacation. Sit back and enjoy an adult lavender lemonade or one of their many delicious margaritas that they are known far and wide for!

If you are hungry- which, if you come here, you should be - get any assortment of tacos ranging from spicy pork belly to chorizo to fish. You simply can't go wrong, as each and every one is boasting of rich flavor: a little sweet from the veggie relish, a little spicy, a little creamy, the juice from the perfectly cooked meat... you get the idea!

If Mexican-style corn tickles your fancy, (which let's be honest, who doesn't love a good helping of Elote??) look no further. This corn is the best damn corn you will ever eat. And if you're in the mood for something sweet, try some churros dipped in chocolate or an interesting take on tiramisu. It's all good.

TIP: Monday's from 5-6pm you can get your hands on $1 tacos as well as half priced drinks.

See you there Senioritas!
