Peach & Blueberry Vodka Cocktail

Did you know that August is National Peach Month? It seems these days, there is a "national day" for just about anything. Peaches, though, get an entire month of celebrations. Why? I have no clue why. But this girl ins't complaining.

I remember when I was a little girl, my grandfather had this biiiig peach tree at his house. My brothers and I would pick them fresh and eat them on the spot, while the adults would collect them and toss them into homemade white sangria. I remember always saying to myself "wow, I can't wait to be an adult and do that." So naturally, when I thought about what I wanted to make in order to mark this national month in my life, I couldn't think of a better way then with cocktails.

While this isn't the sangria that 10 year old Mel just couldn't wait to try for herself, this is one of my favorite cocktails to whip up at home. It contains one of my other favorite fruits, blueberries, and perhaps one of the most versatile liquors around: Vodka.

Peach & Blueberry Vodka Cocktail

2oz Blueberry Vodka
1 12oz bottle of Izze Sparkling Peach
Fresh blueberries and peach slices to toss in.

In a shaker filled with ice, pour in your blueberry vodka as well as the contents of 1 bottle of Izze Sparkling Peach. Give it a good shake, then strain it out into two glasses filled with ice. Toss in your fresh fruit, and take a sip of the most refreshing cocktail of the summer.

Enjoy!
