one pot pasta

Honestly, this is my new favorite pasta. Awkward silence, I know, since I say that at least one a month. But really guys, I'm totally diggin' this dish. The perfect blend of flavors that include lemon, basil, and garlic. I meannnnn reeeeally?

Also something I love? Everything is made in the same pot. Which means.. you only have to clean 1 pot. 1 Pot = a full mean. Lets hold each other and cry tears of happiness then have a martini because really? A martini is never a bad thing. Unless you've had 7 of them and then yes, a martini is a bad thing.

Ok maybe if you've had 8.

Or maybe you're more of a wine gal? That works, too. In fact, if you head on over to ClubW and use "melrose" at checkout, you will receive a free bottle of wine on me! Because I love ya.

So anyway, I was just really excited to share this with you all. Make it when it rains, make it when it snows, make it when its hot as hell out. Just make it.

one pot pasta.

juice of one whole lemon

1/4 T dried basil
1 cup fresh basil, chopped

boil a pot of water and cook your pasta until al dente. drain and return to the same pot now on medium heat. add in your minced garlic and olive oil and toss around until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add in white wine, lemon juice, garlic powder, black pepper, and dried basil. Mix everything to combined, then let sit for 2-3 minutes stirring occasionally.

Add in your fresh basil and give one final toss. Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy!
