Pork Chop Milanese

You know how we all have those "safe" dishes? Something that you can count on to allllways be delicious when you have like, 4 extra seconds to spare to make dinner? Milanese is definitely one of them.

Really - anything milanese'd. Which in reality is just a fancy way to say 'dredged in breadcrumbs' or as I like to say it, 'ala cutlet with lemon squeezed on top'. Yup. Can we just all agree that anything with those two ingredients involved will almost always be amazing?

OH - and one of Mr. D's favorite things in this entire world is pork chop milanese. He really is so simple. I almost feel bad that he got stuck with someone as compulsive and paranoid as me. I said almost.

Yup I'm thinking you should milanese something tonight. Happy Monday!

Pork Chop Milanese

Serves 2
2 Pork Chops
1 cup Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs
1 t Cinnamon
2 pinches Salt & Pepper
1 Egg
2 T Vegetable Oil
1 t Butter
1 Lemon
Cooking Spray

Preheat your oven to 375, coat a baking dish with cooking spray, then heat oil in a skillet on medium heat.
In two separate dishes (while oil is heating), pour out your breadcrumbs + cinnamon, and beat your egg.

Season each pork chop with salt and pepper, then coat in egg. Dredge pork chops in your breadcrumb/cinnamon mixture and set aside.

When oil is hot, add in your pork chops. Brown on the first side for 3-4 minutes, then flip over and brown the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Transfer your pork chops to your greased baking dish and cook in the oven for 6-7 minutes or until pork chops are cooked through.

Transfer to your serving plate, and cut your lemon in half. Use one half to squeeze juice on top of each pork chop, then cut the other half into slices for garnish.

Serve & Enjoy!
