Cavatelli with broccoli in lemon garlic butter sauce

Can we just, like, talk about this for a sec? I love it. Like really really love it. And I probably make it way too often. Its sort of a mix of two of my other favorite pasta dishes (here and here), but thats ok. I've already come to terms with my repetitiveness.

Oh and P.S can we also talk about how many freakin' pasta recipes I post on here? I promise its not all I eat. For every meal. Well, everyday at least.

Also - side note - I decided to start posting some others things on this silly little blog of mine, also. Like.. what I'm loving. Or.. what I think is cool. Member' when I was supposed to start doing that back in September but then that didn't really happen and I let the whole "new york city" (non recipe) concept of this blog slip away? Yup. So yea, that's back. Starting with tomorrow's "Things I'm Loving Tuesday". Check back!

Cavatelli with Broccoli in a Lemon Garlic Butter sauce

1lb Cavatelli Pasta
1 12oz package Frozen Broccoli Florets
1 T Olive Oil
3 T Butter
4 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 Whole Lemon, juiced
1/2 t Red Pepper Flakes
Basil Leaves for garnish

Boil a pot of water and cook your pasta according to the package. Drain and set aside.

Heat oil and butter in a skillet on medium heat until melted, then add in your garlic. Cook for 30 seconds, then add in your lemon juice and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional minute, then add in your cooked pasta. Toss to combined and remove from heat.

Transfer for a serving plate and garnish with basil leaves! Enjoy!
