Compound Butter

Today we're going to be making really cute Christmas cookies.

LOL JK. This isn't a normal food blog. And 6 days before Christmas I am totally giving you a butter recipe vs. something you'll actually make on the big day. But thats just the kind of blogger I am and I'm happy we're best friends. Can we brush each others hair later?

Compound Butter.
Life - Changing. Sheeeeeriously. I don't know how I ever lived with out it don't want to know
how I ever lived without it because now I would never be able to live without it.

Which P.S have I ever spoken about how much I love butter? Its really pathetic actually. Ask Mr. D. I legit threw a tantrum the other night because there wasn't enough butter in the house. Did I need it at that moment? No. But what if I needed it? What if I woke up in the middle of the night and just haaaaad to eat a spoonful of butter? There wouldn't be any. And then I'd have to eat a cookie. Which is totally not butter.

This is what goes through my mind on a daily basis.

Just chop up some fresh herb of your choice (I, Parsley), and mix it up in a bowl with softened butter and some spices. I used garlic powder and dried basil.

Then you have two options. 1) Cover it with some plastic wrap and pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes to set up a bit before using.
Or 2) Plop your butter right into some plastic wrap and toss it in the freezer until you're ready to use it.

My favvvvvvorite way to use it is on pasta. OH JESUS.
Wait is it appropriate to use Jesus's name in regards to butter so close to Christmas?

Mmm mmm melt baby melt!

I die for this.

Please try it.
