Food and the City: simple pumpkin pie. Yum

November 20, 2012

simple pumpkin pie.

I made a Pumpkin Pie. It was featured in GlossyBox Magazine, and that makes me feel really, really cool. You can view the full step-by-step recipe here.

1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoons Nutmeg
2 Eggs
1 Can of Canned Pumpkin
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Ready to use Pie Crust

Preheat oven to 400.
Roll out your pie crust into a greased pie pan. I used a 9 in x 2in but feel free to use whatever size you have. Mix all remaining ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Be sure to combined everything so there are no lumps.

Pour out your pie filling into your prepared pie crust. Smooth out the top with a spoon to evenly distribute. Bake on the lowest rack for 20 minutes, then turn down your heat to 350 and bake for an additional 25 minutes.

Allow to cool completely before slicing. Get a bigger wow factor by serving each slice with a scoop of butter pecan ice cream. Your guests will love this pie, and so will you!
