If your kids and/or whiney husbands don't love you after this one, then there really is no hope.
Ever have a craving for pizza but just don't want to go get it? Or have to make
a full pizza from scratch? I know & feel your pain. Its terrible. How could one
NOT want pizza???
These bring me way back to childhood when my grandmother used
to make these all the time. It would be mine & my brothers chance to be able to help
out in the kitchen, and boy was it simple. So simple it shouldn't even need a
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Grab some English Muffins, and slice them in half. You can use as many as you'd like. You'll
get two pizzas per muffin. ie: 1 muffin = 2 pizzas 2 muffins = 4 pizzas etc.
Grab some yummies Marinara sauce. The jarred stuff works fine for this, but if you have fresh sauce,
more power to ya!
Put some in the center of each muffin, then spread it out to the ends. I like to add a lot of sauce. Its just
so good. I love it I love it I love it. I really do.
Now take some shredded mozzarella (You can shred your own if you have a block of it)
And sprinkle some into the centers. I don't ever use much cheese, just because I'm not a huge cheese
person, BUT you are free to sprinkle on a calorie load if you'd like. However, you don't want to add too much because the cheese can bubble over. No bueno overload.
If you plan to use any toppings such as bacon or pepperoni (or even chicken if you're feeling extra frisky), now would be the time to slice it up and place it on each muffin.
Now pop these glorious artworks into the oven for 10-15 minutes.
When they come out, the edges will be nice and crispy, and the cheese will have spread out.
Am I the only one who prefers the bottom half of the english muffins?? Can I get an Amen?
Add some pepper, red pepper, basil, or whatever else you like on your pizza.
Perfect snack for the weekends! Try it out and let me know how it goes!
